2018

I haven’t been a consistent updater on the blog side of this website (which I intend to change) this year due to the absolute insanity that has been my life in 2018. I have to say a big THANK YOU to all my clients and industry friends/collaborators that have been supportive and also patient with me through some of the crazier months of this year. As a quick-ish overview for those who are curious, my daughter was born at the end of February with some unexpectedly serious health issues and so we spent the better part of the spring hopping between the NICU, our toddler at home, and then lots of doctors appointments and general life adjustments when she came home in May.

She is doing absolutely fantastic now and we are finally feeling like functional humans again but it was definitely a difficult and busy season for our family. Since I’m the only person running this business, that meant the spring and summer (read: wedding season) was a bit all over the place in terms of projects I was able to take on and complete. Despite all of the craziness, I still got to participate in some really fun projects and work with lots of sweet people, which I’ll show you here in a minute! I’m now finishing off my second year of being in business and am kind of blown away when I look back and see just how many projects I’ve gotten to be a part of and the people I have gotten to meet, and it’s still only just the beginning! I am immensely grateful to the people who have taken a chance on me and let me work with them or for them to create things for the special times in their lives. I have made some close friends in the local wedding industry here too which was a pleasant surprise seeing as I am usually a bit of a hermit and didn’t know I could still make new friends as an adult! Ha. Anyways, I figured it was a good time for a life/business update on here so that it didn’t look like I’d just abandoned ship on my website and to just let people in on what’s been happening! I’ve hinted at things on Instagram but it’s not really a conducive platform for my typical wordiness and the full story was kind of long anyways. Here are some quick peaks at all the fun projects I’ve been honored to work on this year and I’m excited to see what’s to come in the next season!
